We mostly use this to make smoothies or soups, and it performs excellently. The carafe is sturdy, the lid stays put but is easy to take on and off, and the base is big and heavy.

It worked 5 times and then went on the fritz. I exchanged it and the new one worked once. Very disappointing. Construction of blender looked good and it was a nice addition to my Artisan mixer but I had to return it for a full refund
